Dr. Richard Zeifman

Dr. Richard Zeifman

Registered Clinical Psychologist & Co-founder

I’m Dr. Richard Zeifman, a clinical psychologist and co-founder of Wisepath Psychology. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress and burnout, obsessive or compulsive patterns, and psychedelic integration. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s getting in the way, build on your existing strengths, and make changes that feel meaningful and aligned with your values.

Professional Background and Qualifications

My work as a psychologist has been shaped by a longstanding interest in what helps therapy lead to meaningful and lasting change. I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University, followed by my clinical residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and postdoctoral training at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. I am a quality-rated provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and am licensed as a psychologist in Ontario and New York.

Alongside my clinical work, my research and teaching focus on understanding how psychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted treatments work, what helps people change, and how treatment can be made more effective and responsive to the individual. I have served as an investigator and study therapist on clinical trials of psychedelic-assisted treatments. I am a faculty member at The New School, where I direct the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Lab and teach graduate students how to provide psychotherapy.

My research, clinical work, and teaching all shape how I approach therapy. I draw on evidence-based approaches while tailoring treatment to each person and paying close attention to the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a space where clients can understand themselves more fully, engage meaningfully in the work, and make changes that last.

Registered Clinical Psychologist & Co-founder

I’m Dr. Ariella Lenton-Brym, a clinical psychologist and co-founder of Wisepath Psychology. I work with adults who want to understand themselves more fully and change patterns that are affecting their daily lives and relationships. My approach is warm, active, and collaborative, making room for honest conversation while helping you put new insights into practice. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, posttraumatic stress disorder, insomnia, or other concerns, we’ll work together to ease distress and help you engage more fully in the parts of life that matter to you.

Professional Background and Qualifications

I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University and am licensed in Ontario and New York. I completed my clinical residency at the University of Manitoba, with specialized training in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at St. Boniface Hospital and the Operational Stress Injury Clinic at the Deer Lodge Centre. My additional training included the Adult Mental Health & Addictions Outpatient Service at Humber River Hospital, the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and the Psychology Training Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital. I am also a quality-rated provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD.

My research has examined how anxiety affects the formation and functioning of close relationships. As a postdoctoral researcher at Palo Alto University, I also contributed to a clinical trial focused on PTSD and complex mental health concerns.

Beyond private practice, I have held leadership and consulting roles in digital health and publicly funded mental health services. This work includes overseeing clinical quality, supporting clinicians, and helping teams evaluate and improve treatment. I bring that same commitment to our sessions, regularly checking in on your progress and experience of therapy so that our work stays focused on your goals and responsive to your needs.
